A Day Made Better: Eradicate Teacher Funded Classrooms
Today I took part in the coolest charity event called A Day Made Better by the non-profit Adopt-A-Classroom where OfficeMax donates $1 million to public school teachers so they don’t have to spend over $1200 a year on their own supplies. My dad was a public school teacher and he inspired me, like many of our teachers do. He taught me that anything is possible and that obstacles are challenges which teach us something new.
I got to thinking… how does this relate to design and Room Recipes in particular? Well, Room Recipes is all about Recipes for Success. And as I stood in those hallways listening to the little voices, the instruments, the songs, the laughter – I realized that a happy home is filled with these same sounds.
Here are some ingredients on creating a kid’s room that inspires learning… when in doubt, GO GREEN!
Ecotots Surfin Kids Art Easel
Doodle Drawer Kid’s Desk
Instruments
World Map Framed Art
Any collections like antique cars, trains or airplanes inspire thought, research and history
Encourage a unique sport like fencing or horseback riding
