A Modern Home Brought Back to Life
The story that SARA RIMER writes in the New York Times called Preserving a Modernist Way of Life made me salivate. It’s a dream of mine to gather a team of friends and professionals to bring a home back to life. This happens to be a 1970s modern cottage designed by architect Charles Zehnder in Cape Cod. I’d be happy with a tiny cottage on an abandoned lake in Alabama!
It got me thinking: What is a great Room Recipe for a modern style room? Try this one on for size – it’s what I like to call Warm Contemporary with a nod to modernism:
I re-purposed their Pottery Barn TV armoire into a cool resin top bar with pizazz!

Orange accents adds some snap!
Mod storage for kid’s toys doubles as seating
